Rebuilding NovaTech's core platform in six months
Migrated a 10-year-old monolith to a modern microservices architecture with zero downtime on cutover.
The challenge
NovaTech's core transaction engine had grown to 1.2M lines of code across a single .NET Framework monolith. Deploys took four hours and required full downtime. The platform could no longer meet peak trading volume.
Our solution
We extracted the highest-traffic modules into independently deployable services, introduced an event bus for inter-service communication, and built a strangler-fig proxy that gradually routed traffic to the new stack over 14 weeks.
